About Escape Films

 

After starting the New Century Writer Awards (NCWA) in 1997, OmicronWorldTM  founder Jason Marchi and business/creative partner Mike Timm (an award-winning writer/director) began consulting with independent filmmakers discovered through the NCWA competition. One of those talents was Lisa Kors, who wrote and directed her debut feature film "Dinner and a Movie" after winning a top award for screenplay writing in an early NCWA contest. Lisa later won Best Director for the film at the Slamdunk Film Festival, the Audience Award from the Texas Film Festival, and Best Comedy at both Worldfest Houston and the New Bedford Film Festival.

 

Mike Timm then began developing his own film ideas, which Marchi supported in various capacities, mainly as an executive producer. Those projects are displayed below.

In 1998, Marchi also executive produced "Hoofboy," a short film starring Will Keenan (Tromeo and Juliet), who wrote and directed. "Hoofboy" is a mocumental melodrama about a young man with hooves for feet and the women who adore them. The film stars Keenan along side Jennifer Lien (Star Trek:Voyager), Pauley Perrette (The Ring, NCIS), and Kerri Kenny (Reno 911!).\
